With a background in theater, Pam would entertain the neighborhood from her parent's front porch. Acting, a love for music, and a knack for music trivia, led her straight into radio. A receptionist position at KWST, LA, was the first step in what was to become a career that involved almost every broadcast position in radio. Gigs in Sacramento at KZAP, KHYL, and KYMX followed along with the position as Operations Director for Metro Traffic Control. Pam was the first in-studio, on camera traffic reporter for KCRA-TV while beginning to juggle the many voiceover and on camera commercial jobs coming her way.

A love of the mountains and skiing prompted a move to the Tahoe-Truckee area in 1991. Pam became the popular midday host for 16 years at KOZZ-FM, Reno, Nevada.
